I guess it’s safe to say that 2025 is going to be the year of sodas and ice cream snacks.
Looks like soda and dessert lovers will have a great start of the year with all the new sodas and sundae sensations coming up! We’ve been talking about Pepsi’s Wild Cherry & Cream almost non-stop after knowing it’s going to launch in early 2025. Apparently, it’s not just the only soda option you should be looking out for. And for all the ice cream fans out there, you have so much more to enjoy after devouring the nostalgic ice cream bars from your favorite candy brands. Here’s everything we now so far about new soda and ice cream releases for 2025.
Let’s start with exciting soda flavors dropping next year. We have unusual and classic flavor combinations to expect and, of course, zero sugar variations for health-conscious soda fans.

A&W Ice Cream Sundae Root Beer
Root beer float in a can, anyone? That’s exactly what you can expect from A&W’s soon-to-be-released item: Ice Cream Sundae Root Beer. As per the packaging, it looks like the new soda will feature a combination of flavors from vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and cherry. Rumor has it that the soda flavor will be released in 12-oz cans and 20-oz bottles, available in regular and zero sugar options.
Dr Pepper Blackberry
Meanwhile, Dr Pepper is about to release a soda that’s sweet, tart, and earthy—that is, if they could capture the blackberry flavor. In late January 2025, Dr Pepper Blackberry is expected to hit in major retail stores, available in bottles and cans. Fans aren’t sure if the new flavor would somehow be similar to Dr Pepper Dark Berry, but it’s possible since the latter had flavor notes from black cherries, blackberries, and blackcurrant.
Coca-Cola Orange Cream
This new soda flavor from Coca-Cola has been described as the successor to the brand’s Orange Vanilla, which was removed from the shelves back in 2022. Some speculators shared that it might have a similar flavor profile to the Orange Vanilla variety, while others are thinking of something like orange creamsicle. The new Coca-Cola flavor will also be available in regular and zero sugar options.
Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream

Another soda flavor that has a creamy aspect to it is Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream. We’ve already gushed over about its stunning can art and flavor profile that’s expected to mimic cherry cream soda. So what else to keep in mind? This, too, will be available in regular and sugar-free options, but it looks like it’s only available in one size of can (for now).
Sprite + Tea
Sprite is wild for launching a flavor that’s quite confusing for some fans. However, for others, it makes sense because last year, the concept of cold-steeping tea bags in the lemon-lime soda blew up on TikTok. It sounds interesting, to be honest, and caffeinated. But it looks like Sprite + Tea will be caffeine-free, as per its packaging.
Sunkist Raspberry Blood Orange
Also coming soon is Sunkist’s Raspberry Blood Orange soda, which, you guessed it, offers a dual flavor combo of raspberry and blood orange. Another drink that should be sweet, citrusy, and a bit tart! For the uninitiated, blood orange is less acidic and tangy than a regular orange and should have a floral hint to it. Also, Sunkist Raspberry Blood Orange is the only soda in this lineup that doesn’t get a zero sugar variation.
7UP Tropical
Want a sunshine-y drink after the holidays? This could be it! 7UP Tropical combines the crisp flavor of the soda with notes from tropical fruits like peach and mango—or at least this is what some of the fans claim. Nevertheless, this flavor shouldn’t fail you if you’re looking to get refreshed and enjoy something fruity!

Try the New Dippin’ Dots Sundaes in 2025

Now that we’re done with sodas, time to take the sweetness up a notch. Dippin’ Dots, the iconic name in unconventional ice cream treat, will be releasing two new sundae flavors in 2025. These sundaes will be served in cups and will feature three layers of deliciousness. There will be two flavors for you to enjoy:
- Cookies ‘n Cream – Features Cookies ‘n Cream Dippin’ Dots with cookie pieces, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate topping.
- Cotton Candy – Combines Cotton Candy Dippin’ Dots with cookie pieces, cotton candy-flavored ice cream, and birthday cake flavor topping.
These two new flavors are expected to arrive at Kroger stores in January 2025, with plans to roll out to other retailers in the next couple of months. One box would give you 4 three-tiered sundae cups, with each cup measuring 4 ounce.
From The Club
Indeed, 2025 is the year of sodas! I’ve mentioned before that I’m super selective when trying out new sodas, and it looks like 2025 is going to be a challenging year. The A&W Ice Cream Sundae Root Beer sounds like a nice drink to have while munching on something savory. Also, that Sprite + Tea got my interest. I didn’t jump on the cold-steeping trend but I love tea and other drinks that are infused with it. As for the Dippin’ Dots sundae flavors, both are actually tempting but I’m leaning more towards the Cotton Candy flavor, just because I haven’t tried something like that before.
