These are the hottest soda flavors on the shelves right now!
Are you on a hunt for the next soda sensations? In your soda aisle, you might witness a showdown of three new flavors from Mountain Dew, Pepsi, and Starry. Over the last couple of weeks, the buzz around the beverages from Mountain Dew and Starry has built a lot of anticipation among fans. Meanwhile, it’s a surprise for us that Pepsi is dropping a new flavor, and mind you, it’s not anything fruity or a reinvention. It’s a holiday flavor! Try these sodas out and see which one will become your new favorite.
Mountain Dew

Gamers, listen up…this one’s for you. Mountain Dew Game Fuel is now back on the shelves, ready to elevate your gaming experience. There are two flavors that you can try, at least according to the photo of sodas shared by blogger @Snackolator. Citrus Cherry, which has been receiving a lot of praises, is the red-orange soda first released to promote Halo 3. It has been a recuring Mtn Dew flavor ever since. Another flavor that’s getting some love from soda fans is Citrus Blackberry. It’s a new release, featuring notes from blackberry and raspberry. This new Mtn Dew flavor also aims to promote World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary.
If you want to try these gamer sodas, you better move quickly because they’re gonna be around for a limited time only. They should be available in major retailers but if you need help locating them, Mountain Dew’s product locator would be useful.
Pepsi

After their new stunt video “Undercover Cups” made social media buzz, Pepsi is once again the talk of the town because of a new flavor drop. Say hello to Pepsi’s Gingerbread Soda! This should be a refreshing find amid the cranberry-flavored drinks we’re getting this time of the year.
Pepsi Gingerbread will be available in zero sugar only, and the release is gonna be limited. Pepsi gives us two ways to get this new and festive soda flavor. First, you could to purchase 10 packs of Pepsi Mini Cans through the brand’s TikTok Shop. Once done, you’ll get a FREE Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread Soda in Mini Can. As a side note, this holiday flavor is only available until supplies last. Now for the second option, you could enter a contest for a chance to win a can via pepsi.com beginning December 4, 2024.
Starry

Meanwhile, Starry has jumped on the cranberry train and it’s new soda flavor is finally up for grabs. Before it hit the shelves, Starry Cranberry Blizz received mixed reactions from soda fans. It’s been compared to Sprite Cranberry, which set the bar pretty high for this flavor category. Nevertheless, there are still fans who expressed interest in Starry’s Cranberry Blizz. It will only be available in zero sugar option, and features a combination of lemon-lime and cranberry flavors. Some of those who were able to try shared that the cranberry flavor was fantastic.

More Soda Releases to Watch Out For
Recent soda news had us wondering if 2025 is gonna be the year of fizzy drinks. Why, you ask? Well, there are more soda flavors waiting for us next year; some of them unique, others a modern take on a timeless flavor. Here are the upcoming soda releases you should keep an eye on:

- Pepsi’s Wild Cherry & Cream – Available in regular and zero sugar versions, this new Pepsi flavor is expected to mimic the taste of a cherry cream soda. Fans gushed over its stunning can art, and we hope that flavor-wise, it will also be a hit.
- Coca-Cola’s Orange & Cream – Cream and soda make a great combination, and even Coca-Cola knows that. With this new flavor, soda fans are anticipating a taste close to orange creamsicle or Coca-Cola’s discontinued flavor, Orange Vanilla.
- Sprite + Tea – After the viral trend of cold-steeping tea bags in Sprite, the brand is now ready to release its own take: Sprite + Tea. Per its packaging, it’ll be caffeine-free despite having a “tea” component.

From The Club
For starters, I’m not a gamer but those flavors from Mountain Dew Game Fuel sounds amazing. The fact that they could increase focus and attention also got my interest. Starry Cranberry Blizz is likewise shaping up to be a soda worth trying. It’s still getting mixed reactions, so you better try it for yourself if you’re curious. And that surprise holiday flavor from Pepsi? It’s something I have wished for and seeing it feels surreal! I agree that the release is pretty limited so I hope Pepsi makes it more accessible in the coming days. I’m willing to break my no soda streak just to try that Gingerbread soda.
Special thanks to @Snackolator for the images and tip.
