Like its namesake, Topo Chico has always been known for their refreshing brand of sparkling mineral water. This time, they’re releasing a something new; a new line of drinks with delicious flavors!
Topo Chico just launched a new set of sparkling water called Topo Chico Sabores Sparkling Water. This new product is made with natural ingredients like filtered sparkling water, real fruit juice, and a hint of herbal extracts. The best part is that it’s coming out in three new flavors! These flavors are lime with a hint of mint extract, tangerine with a hint of ginger extract, and blueberry with a hint of hibiscus extract.
These new Topo Chico Sabores Sparkling Water are now available at retail stores nationwide starting at a price of $1.50 for a single can or $8.06 for an eight pack.

This brand of sprinkling water has been garnering a loyal following ever since it first came out in 1895. Legend has it that the daughter of the Aztec emperor, Moctezume I Ilhuicamina, drank from the crystalline waters of the spring of the Cerro del Topo Chico to feel revitalized. This story along with its impressive line of sparkling water, propelled Topo Chico to become one of the premiere brands of beverages.
Over the years, Topo Chico gained popularity for its crisp, clean taste and unique mineral composition. It has since become a staple in Mexican culture and eventually made its way across the border to the United States. A strategic acquisition deal with Coca-Cola in 2017 ensured that Topo Chico will expand its footprint in the global market. Coca-Cola Ownership
In 2017, Coca-Cola bought Topo Chico for about $220 million. This single move spread Topo Chico’s reach from about 30 states to the whole country. At the time, sparkling water was pretty huge thanks to the popularity of drinks like LaCroix. Coca-Cola saw the opportunity and wanted to dip their toes into the market. From 2017 to 2021, Topo Chico’s share of the sparkling water market grew from 20% to 35%, showing its rapid growth. It’s safe to say that the move with Coca-Cola was a big factor, mostly because of their wide distribution network.
With Coca-Cola, Topo Chico got more money for ads and new flavors. Even though its sales dropped by 6%, Topo Chico still ranks third after big names like Perrier and San Pellegrino.

I’m not big on flavored sparkling water. It just feels a little weird to me. But if there’s one drink that just might get me to change my mind, it’s probably going to be Topo Chico. It has a pretty legendary reputation and has a lot of loyal fans claiming that it’s unlike your ordinary sparkling water. I’ve been on the fence for a while but with the release of the Topo Chico Sabores Sparkling Water, now seems like the perfect time to give it a shot.
