Get ready to celebrate this season with a ton of new ice cream flavors from all our favorite brands!
Summer may be over but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ice cream. We’re at that time of the year when the holidays just start to overlap and we get a healthy dose of what people call, WeenMas. It’s that very specific time right around fall when we get tons of Halloween and Christmas related releases. It’s kinda like the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. This WeenMas, though, we’re not getting any shortage of amazing new releases. We’ve already seen major brands release candy, chocolate, and other treats. But right now, we’re getting a ton of new ice cream releases.
WeenMas is officially here and we’re getting the return of mint and festive ice cream flavors as well as a bunch of new cone offerings. Let’s take a look at some of the highlights this season.
Tillamook
Tillamook is a farmer owned dairy cooperative located in its namesake, Tillamook, Oregon. Ever since it was established more than 115 years ago, they’ve managed to put out some of the best dairy products you could possibly have. And that includes ice cream. This year, Tillamook is coming out with some pretty amazing flavors.
Tillamook is dropping two festive ice cream flavors this season: Holiday Sugar Cookie and Peppermint Bark. The Holiday Sugar Cookie is made of a cookie dough flavored ice cream with actual cookie dough and sugar pieces mixed in. It captures the essence of classic holiday sugar cookies. On the other hand, you have the Peppermint Bark flavor. It combines peppermint flavored ice cream with candy cane bits and white chocolate chunks.
Publix
Publix is one of the best supermarkets chain in existence. Not only do they have great service and provide high quality products, they also started to produce and release their own brand of food. Publix sandwiches are some of the best you’ll ever have. But this time, I’d like to talk about their ice cream. Publix has slowly been making a name for themselves when it comes to ice cream thanks to a ton of creative flavors. This season, they are bringing back 8 returning flavors:
- Deep Dish Apple Pie
- Eggnog
- Caramel Mountain Tracks
- Marshmallow Candy Cane & Cookie Blast
- Peppermint Stick
- Snickerdoodle
- Santa’s White Christmas
- Pumpkin Pie
All of them are pretty amazing returning flavors and should be at the top of anyone’s must try ice cream flavors this season. Since most of these are Christmas-themed, you can expect some of them to be available until winter.

Blue Bunny
Like most of the brands here, Blue Bunny is one of the best makers of frozen treats. They pride themselves on only using fresh milk sourced locally near their production facilities. So you can be sure that you’ll get that fresh, farm-to-freezer taste in every bite. This season, they’re dropping three festive ice cream flavors: Peppermint Stick, Frosted Sugar Cookie, and the new Mini Swirls Hot Cocoa Cones.
The Peppermint Stick Ice Cream features a peppermint-flavored base and includes red and green peppermint candy pieces mixed inside it. The Frosted Sugar Cookie is a limited-edition flavor that features a sugar cookie-flavored ice cream with sugar cookie dough chunks and a frosting swirl. Then there’s the new Mini Swirls Hot Cocoa Cones. This new treat features a cocoa frozen desert dipped in a whipped cream coating on top a chocolate-flavored cone.
Talenti
Next up, we got something from Talenti. Talenti is one of the biggest producers of gelato and sorbettos made from only high quality ingredients in America. This season, they got the limited-edition Caramel Apple Pie Gelato releasing. This flavor features real chunks of apple pie mixed into a caramel gelato base and combines the tartness of apples with the sweetness of caramel. It’s the perfect fall-inspired frozen treat if there ever was one.
Häagen-Dazs
For years, Häagen-Dazs has been a premiere American ice cream brand. They started out in the 60s with only three flavors: vanilla, chocolate, and coffee. Today, they boast a ton of incredible new flavors. This season, they have the Peppermint Bark. Peppermint is one of the most festive flavors perfect for the holidays. This flavor combines white chocolate ice cream with crunchy chocolaty peppermint bark and peppermint candy pieces.
Ben & Jerry’s
Of course, we can’t talk about the most anticipated ice cream releases this season without mentioning Ben & Jerry’s. Mint chocolate can be a pretty divisive flavor. But take one bite out of Ben & Jerry’s limited edition Minter Wonderland, and you’ll see why a lot of people enjoy mint chocolate. This ice cream flavor takes dark chocolate mint ice cream and mixes it with marshmallow and chocolate cookie swirls.
It’s safe to say that we have tons of amazing ice cream flavors to look forward to. The great thing is that these are now available. All these products can be found at stores that carry these brands with the exception of Publix and Ben & Jerry’s since those are exclusive to Target.

WeenMas is definitely a real thing. I’m starting to think that it should be a real holiday that we need to celebrate. But that said, I’m super excited for all these ice cream flavors. I’m not even sure if I could try them all. If I could only try at least one of them though, I’m going with Ben & Jerry’s Minter Wonderland. I love mint chocolate and I think there should be more mint chocolate flavored ice cream out there.
