Santa Claus is coming to town, and you see him with a bottle of Pepsi Zero in hand! Why? Well, it seems like the man from North Pole prefers Pepsi’s Zero Sugar over Coca-Cola Zero Sugar. In case you need extra proof, Santa was found at a New York City bodega sipping some Pepsi Zero Sugar goodness! Yup, Santa’s pretty much known as the face of the iconic red brand, but it seems like he has switched to Pepsi. Now, expect more Santa appearances with the real magic that Pepsi can give this holiday season.
Pepsi brought the holiday season to life on the streets of New York City during the world’s largest convening of Santa. The response of the Santas to Pepsi Zero Sugar was captured in interviews, which is now live on the brand’s YouTube channel and their social media pages on Instagram, Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok (from the @Pepsi account).

Aside from this, Pepsi also gave attendees the chance to believe in the bold and refreshing taste of Pepsi Zero Sugar through a taste test. According to the results, 8 out of every 10 Santas prefer it over Coca-Cola’s Zero Sugar. While we recognize the preference of Santas from the New York City convention, do note that the claim was actually based on unscientific polling. Take into consideration the “rowdy” Saturday afternoon with everyone wearing their best Christmas spirit.
Free Pepsi Zero Sugar For a Year?
Yup, that’s right! You’ll have the chance to score a free Pepsi Zero Sugar for a year to spread the holiday cheer. Santa is inviting everyone to join him in making the switch through the free Pepsi Zero Sugar through the end of the year, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re naughty or nice because everyone deserves to take a sip of this refreshing Pepsi goodness!
To make the switch, simply text “TASTE” to 81234 with every purchase of one (1) 20 oz of Pepsi Zero Sugar. You can get up to &2.50 cash back. Now, how cool is that?
Jenny Danzi, Head of Brand Marketing at Pepsi, announced that this holiday season, they are rewriting tradition. Danzi added that they knew Pepsi Zero Sugar was the best tasting zero sugar cola available in the market. She said that once people try it, they will make the switch just like Santa did. The brand is trying to leverage being an iconic part of culture through their unique challenger spirit. Pepsi is inviting consumers on a journey that rethinks their expectations to experience the real magic of Pepsi Zero Sugar during the holidays of the December spirit.

What’s New at Pepsi?
Now that we’ve seen Santa’s switch let’s check out what Pepsi has in store for us this holiday season. Now, this is where you’ll see if it’s worth it to take the switch. If you’re in for the movement, check out the following new Pepsi products coming soon.

- Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread Mini Cans – A new sweet treat is coming your way with Pepsi’s new creation. The new Gingerbread flavor features a classic sweet citrusy soda with cinnamon, brown sugar, and molasses flavors. However, they are said to be released for a limited time only until supplies last. Expect that there will only be a few of these in the market.
- Pepsi Wild Cherry and Cream Soda – It comes in two variants: plain cream soda and another with Zero Sugar. Sadly, the Wild Cherry and Cream Soda is not yet available as they will be dropping by grocery shelves this 2025.

From The Club
Santa’s preferring Pepsi Zero Sugar over the Coca-Cola variant is too funny for me. Well, the two soda brands have been competing for the top soda brand ever since. I can’t believe I lived long enough to witness the public war boiling in between the two. 🤣 I guess the tiebreaker will be Santa, after being one of the faces of Coca-Cola for a long time, switched to the competing brand.
