Your favorite peanut butter temptation gets more interesting with the addition of red velvet flavor.
If there’s a sweet treat that speaks well of love and romance, it’s gotta be red velvet. The cake has a sophisticated aura and that vibrant crimson color. It’s likely that Reese’s feels the same way as the candy brand is set to release a new flavor in January, a couple of weeks before Valentine’s Day. Yup, you guessed it. Reese’s Red Velvet is coming to candy town, and there’s been a lot of positive feedback about it recently. Here’s everything we know so far about the reported release.

Reese’s new candy flavor is expected to hit the shelves early next year. It’s possible for it to arrive in December, but most definitely after all the Christmas-themed candies are gone, according to a reliable source. Reese’s Red Velvet peanut butter cups feature a red velvet-flavored creme on top. On the bottom, you still get the delicious milk chocolate. Since the classic cake flavor will only appear on the top half of the cups, fans are hoping they won’t fall short on red velvet taste. Overall, they make a decent option for gift bags or treats for your Valentine’s candy dishes.
Fans have speculated that the Reese’s Red Velvet is a Valentine’s Day offering because of the little hearts found on the packaging. Regardless of the month of release, candy lovers are still looking forward and wondering if peanut butter would go well with red velvet. There’s only one way to find out: get yours as soon as it drops! Reese’s Red Velvet will reportedly be available in regular, king, and miniature sizes.
More Reese’s Finds to Try
Since the Red Velvet variation is not yet here, it’s not a bad idea to treat yourself to other indulgent treats from Reese’s. Enjoy the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors from these candies or add them to your cakes, pies, or ice cream!
- Werewolf Tracks peanut butter cups: This one’s almost similar to the look of the Red Velvet variation, the only difference is it gets a vanilla creme on the top half. Inside, you’ll still get the classic peanut butter flavor, and on the bottom half, the milk chocolatey goodness. If you’re looking for peanut butter cups that pack a little more sweetness, the Werewolf Tracks is for you. This flavor was released in celebration of the Halloween season.
- Cluster Bites: Released in February 2024, Reese’s Cluster Bites are bite-sized snacks that are crunchy, chewy, and peanut buttery. They combine the addictive chocolate, peanut butter, peanuts, and caramel in each candy cluster. Because of their small size, they’re easy to add to your favorite ice cream, pretzels, or baked cookies. In terms of taste and texture, some fans claim that candy clusters are like Baby Ruth but with peanut butter.

Holiday Candies, Anyone?

It looks like we have to get through the holidays first before snacking on Reese’s Red Velvet. But to be honest, it isn’t that bad because the holiday season is filled with new festive treats. In fact, there’s the M&M’s Toasty Holiday Peanut that feature peanut chocolate balls with hints of cinnamon, vanilla, and caramel flavors. You wouldn’t want to miss this toasty holiday twist!
For a fruity treat, enjoy the chewy goodness of TWIZZLERS Twists in Merry Berry Punch flavor. This product combines blueberry and blue raspberry flavors, resulting in festive green-colored twists. Pair them with TWIZZLERS Strawberry-flavored twists and enjoy a combination of green and red Christmas time snack!

From The Club
The cool thing about Reese’s is that even though their OG peanut butter cups are already iconic, they’re not afraid to experiment with new flavors. I have to agree that the red velvet variation is interesting, so I’ll be trying that one out. I hope it’s also different from the Werewolf Tracks because it would be disappointing if they only changed the color of the top half. Please don’t let us down, Reese’s!
