Ever wanted OREO and Coca-Cola to become “besties”? Well, now they are.
2024 is nothing short of unexpected brand partnerships; it even shook the food industry with fast food chains teaming up with A-list personalities. These partnerships brought together iconic brands and delivered unique products and deals. Now, count OREO and Coca-Cola in the growing list of cross-brand collaborations, as these big names team up and become “besties” in their latest product releases.
Coca-Cola and OREO are teaming up to bring their fans not one, but two exciting limited-edition products. The new offerings, Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar and OREO Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie celebrate the “Real Magic” of friendship built between these two iconic brands. Both products feature unique flavors inspired by the classic flavors of Coca-Cola and OREO.

The OREO Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie features two chocolate base cakes filled with a Coca-Cola flavored cream, decorateed with Coca-Cola designs and a sprinkle of red edible glitter. On the other hand, Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar provides a refreshing Coca-Cola taste with hints similar to that of OREO cookies.
These two exclusive products showcases the latest surprise-and-delight releases from the Coca-Cola Creations platform, aiming to interact with the Gen Z audience through different passions of music, gaming, sports, technology, and pop culture. Plus, the product packaging should be noted that carries a playful blend of black and white designs that reflect the personality of both brands, complete with OREO cookie embossments and stacked Coca-Cola bottles.
Oana Vlad, Global VP of Brand Strategy at The Coca-Cola Company, shared the careful process behind these new products, and with a goal to maintain the authentic experience of both brands. Plus, Eugenia Zalis, Global Head of Marketing and Brand for OREO, expressed that they strive to create new ways to excite customers. Plus, they also added that the friendship between the two brands is a way to unite their fans, and celebrate connection and togetherness.
But the fun doesn’t stop there – fans can also enjoy the products’ immersive digital and physical experiences, similar to the previous Coca-Cola Creations. Fans can activate the “Bestie Mode” when they scan a QR code found at the product packaging. These QR codes lets them combine their music preferences and create custom Spotify playlists that celebrate their friendship. Bestie Mode will also translate into IRL, with difference life experiences, like Ferris Wheel takeovers, and creating matching temporary tattoos.
This launch marks an important first for Coca-Cola Creations, being the largest partnership and the first food collaboration in the platform’s history. Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar will start appearing in retail stores worldwide in September, including markets like the United States, Canada, China, Mexico, and Brazil. A frozen version will also be available at select 7-Eleven locations.

A Look At OREO’s Previous Star Wars Flavor Collaboration
Last June, OREO shocked pop culture fans when they teamed up with the minds over at Lucasfilms to release the brand new Star Wars Oreo Cookies.
The Star Wars Oreo cookies marked the first time that the two brands are collaborating, and here are the details:

- First off the bat, they had the gorgeous packaging with original character artwork from a painting by Greg Hildebrandt, who created some of the most iconic Star Wars posters since 1977.
- Then, the cookies are embossed with classic characters like Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Darth Maul, Luke Skywalker, and Yoda. Even newer characters like Kylo Ren and Rei were on the cookies, featuring a total of 20 characters.
The OREO Star Wars Cookies are available for a limited time. Interested customers can place an order at OREO’s official website.
