Craving for hummus? This Middle Eastern dish has made its way into the international market, and from its taste, we can definitely tell why. It’s a simple dip that’s made out of chickpeas blended with lemon juice and spices. This delicacy is loved by many, including children. Now, there’s a new
Little Sesame is a restaurant that specializes in serving veggie-centric Middle Eastern dishes. It is known to have one of the best-tasting hummus. With this, the restaurant has ventured to create and finally debut the Kids Hummus Cup — marking a milestone as the first Kid Hummus in the market. This launch aligns with the brand’s dedication to serving high-quality food for the family while championing agriculture.

The Kids Hummus Cup was created by co-founders Ronen and Nick, who are both young parents. They came up with the idea of making one as they realized how kids love hummus. It took two years for the duo to bring the product to the market. The two of them had two goals in mind: First, to make food that is good for growing minds and bodies and, during that process, to leave the planet before they found it.
The Kids Hummus Cups are made with zero artificial preservatives and are crafted in small batches by using USDA Organic, non-GMO Project Verified, Clean Label Certified, and OU Kosher ingredients. Each pack consists of four small cups that are 2.5 oz each in size.
This freshly made hummus is perfect as an on-the-go snack to bring to school or outside just to fill your kids up. They’re priced at $6.99 at Whole Foods Market locations nationwide. You can also opt to order them online at eatlittlesesame.com and have them delivered to your doorstep.
What’s in The Kids Hummus Cup?
Now, what makes the product special? Do we really need a separate hummus to serve our kids? Well, Little Sesame’s Kids Hummus Cup is made out of sustainable and American organic by regenerative organic farmers from Montana and throughout the North West. By creating a supply chain for farmers, Little Sesame has created a direct supply chain, showing how they support sustainable farming.
Nick Wiseman, CEO and Co-Founder of Little Sesame, said that creating products that families feel confident about has always been the center of their mission. He added that by introducing the Kids Hummus Cup, they’re not only offering children a plant-based snack that nurtures their growth, but they’re also promoting sustainable farming practices that are essential for the future of the planet. Well, that pretty much answers the question about giving our children food that is best for them.

The Little Sesame Story

Nick Wiseman founded the company Little Sesame back in 2016 with his cousin David Wiseman and chef/partner Ronen Tenne in a small 500-square-foot basement. With their shared culinary background, experiences, and love for good food, they were able to open Little Sesame.
Nick and Dave, who have been partners in restaurant businesses for over ten years, have built solid relationships with farmers over time. One relationship that they maintained was with famer Casey Bailey, who owned a farm at Mt. Ronen, which was located in Tivon, Israel. This is where they source their chickpeas, which are exclusively grown for them. The Washington Post even calls Little Sesame the best hummus in D.C.!

Hummus is one of my favorite dips for my soft tortilla shells, and it’s been quite a while since I last had the combo. They’re the perfect dinner and comfort food for me. Little Sesame’s new Kids Hummus Cup is intriguing since it’s a hummus dip made specifically for just children. This treat will definitely be on my list the next time I shop for groceries.
