Lavender in coffee? Yup, that aromatic shrub used as scents in our cleaning materials and perfumes is now the main ingredient in our morning cups of coffee. There has been a rise in lavender coffee, especially during the spring season of 2023, when coffee shops like Caribou Coffee and, of course, Starbucks released it as part of their spring menu. Expect to see more coffee shops brew their take on lavender-flavored coffee this spring. 😉
While we’re not seeing spring, at least for the next few months, we’re getting early access to what lavender-related coffee Starbucks is set to release. They’re the Vanilla Lavender Flavor collection, which features a vibrant vanilla flavor blended with lavender in a cup that can be enjoyed both hot and cold.
Whether you’re one of the lavender coffee fans or want to try it out on your own, keep these lavender goodies on your tab to change how you drink coffee this spring in the comfort of your home.
Here’s the lineup of what to expect exclusively from Starbucks at Home:
- Starbucks Vanilla Lavender Flavored Coffee Ground
- Starbucks Vanilla Lavender Flavored Coffee in K-Cup Pods
- Starbucks Oatmilk Lavender Vanilla Flavored Creamer (Non-dairy)

According to food blogger @Markie_devo, they’re about to drop in the spring season of 2025, but they may show up as early as January 2025. You can get them at stores that carry Starbucks at Home brand.

Lavender For Drinks
We know lavender in coffee might raise some eyebrows, but the same goes for beverages; don’t judge a drink based on its ingredients. In case you’re wondering, the US Food and Drug Administration marked lavender as generally recognized as safe (GRAS), and since lavender blooms in spring, there’s no wonder why they’re making rounds during the season.
In fact, even Starbucks came out with lavender-flavored drinks back in March 2024, exactly the spring season. They came out with two drinks that contain “light floral notes” with “light sweetness,” according to Starbucks’ beverage developer, Patrick Penny. Check out the following drinks that made it to Starbucks’ spring releases. We’re crossing our fingers that they will reappear for Spring 2025, along with the Starbucks at Home vanilla lavender-flavored goodies.

- Lavender Crème Frappuccino Blended Beverage – It features a blend of sweet and subtle notes of lavender plus vanilla syrup. It is combined with milk and ice with a generous amount of whipped cream on top. If you’re looking for a caffeine-free sweet treat, then this frappuccino is the perfect option.
- Lavender Cream Cold Foam – Following the cold foam trend is this spring drink, which features a combination of lavender and Starbucks’ signature vanilla sweet cream. It also has an added layer of Lavender Cream Cold Foam in an Iced Chai Tea Latte that makes a combination of spicy and sweet.

From The Club
This 2024, I’ve become this big coffee drinker to help me kick off the adult responsibilities on my to-do list. Since I have little to no sleep at all during the weekdays, it’s good to have a little lavender on my coffee, and Starbucks’ spring vanilla lavender goodies might do the trick. I’ve heard that lavender essential oils improve sleep quality, and honestly, that’s the thing that I needed the most in a coffee format. Hopefully, Starbucks will release them a little bit earlier than expected.
