Yoplait has released a Fourth of July-themed box of yogurt pops under their Go-GURT line. The box of Red, White & Blue Pop and Orange Cream Pop flavors was first spotted in Dollar General by a fan. However, they are not exclusive to the store, which means the limited-edition patriotic yogurt pops are widely available for fans to enjoy all summer long.

The Red, White & Blue Pop flavor features a patriotic twist to the Go-GURT lineup that is sure to fill summer festivities with national pride. The Orange Cream Pop flavor, on the other hand, is a creamy and citrusy flavor that should remind consumers of classic ice cream truck treats they used to have as a child. Both flavors carry a nostalgic factor that can be appealing to both children and parents. Fans can pick up a box or two of these limited-time treats at stores that carry the Yoplait brand.

Yoplait’s Go-GURT Line
Go-GURT is a product of Yoplait, which is a brand licensed by cereal giant General Mills. The popular yogurt in a tube was introduced in the 90s when food scientists Jim McGuire and Stephen Kaufman set out to prove to their co-workers that yogurt can be placed in a more portable type of packaging in an attempt to cater specifically to children and on-the-go families. In 1998, Go-GURT made its first debut in a regional test and became the first yogurt packaged in an “easier-to-eat-from” tube that consumers could conveniently refrigerate, freeze, and thaw. It effectively eliminated the need for spoons and created a more convenient way to snack healthily.

Another interesting fact about Go-GURT’s tubular packaging is that it was initially supposed to be a cone. But while a cone-shaped packaging was highly favored during design iterations, issues including material costs and packaging waste soon surfaced during product distribution. This led Go-GURT creators to consider other more practical options. Since then Go-GURT has been around for over 20 years, with recent sales hitting an average of more than one billion yogurt tubes in a year.
In the 20 years that Yoplait has been providing children with convenient snack choices, the brand’s Go-GURT line has also stayed culturally relevant by introducing various exciting limited-edition flavors and themed packaging to keep its young audience engaged. The brand has even partnered with popular children’s characters and media franchises, adding an element of excitement and collectability to their products. It’s safe to say that Go-GURT has become a trusted brand integral to the daily lives of consumers, offering not just a healthy snack, but also a nostalgic and enjoyable experience for kids and parents alike.
Bring On The Summer Nostalgia
Fans have expressed that these new Go-GURT flavors from Yoplait are like a blast from the past. With comments saying that they haven’t had a Go-GURT since they were a kid speaks to the product’s knack to take consumers back to a specific point in time. The new Red, White & Blue Pop and Orange Cream Pop flavors are also sure to be the perfect preparation for the 4th of July, while adding a nostalgic twist to consumers’ Independence Day festivities.

Those who would like to reminisce their childhood with the new Go-GURT patriotic flavors this summer can get these treats for a limited time at Dollar General and other stores that carry the brand. To learn more about Yoplait and their product offerings, visit their official website.

From The Club
Nostalgia is a strong force. It’s one of those things that makes a product irresistible, no matter what it may be. In this case, it’s yogurt pops that bring out some good ‘ol national pride. No one can say no to that, for sure. Add the fact that I enjoy all things yogurt? Yes, please. TBH, I’ve long been sold on the fact that Go-GURTs are so easy to eat, making it a great snack for when you want something that’s ever so slightly healthier than ice cream. The treat taking me back to my childhood is just a plus.
