Calling all Pepsi fans, your favorite beverage is about to upgrade to something more creamy with a little cherry on top, resembling those creamy floats you had at your local diners!
If you love ice cream on top of your Pepsi, then you’re in luck as Pepsi is about to unveil their new Wild Cherry and Cream flavors — a new variant of classic flavor. This news was shared by beverage blogger @SodaSeeker on Instagram last Saturday, October 26. They attributed the source, which is from another food and beverage blogger, Team Supernova, on the same social media platform.
Pepsi’s Wild Cherry and Cream comes in two variants, which is the plain one consisting of the same flavors and the Zero Sugar for health-conscious consumers. By looking at the photo provided by Soda Seeker, it seems like we’re only getting one size in a can, but don’t worry, as Pepsi has not yet announced the release of their new creamy cherry flavor to the public yet. Who knows? There might be more sizes coming your way.

Excited for a sip? Don’t worry; Pepsi’s Wild Cherry and Cream will be dropping by your nearest grocery shelves by 2025. News of the release came after Pepsi announced their partnership with alc*hol brand Diageo, it’s the company where Captain Morgan’s r*m came from. Both brands are about to release an alc*hol-soda blend drink.
Let’s Talk About Cream Soda
How many of you heard about EXO’s Cream Soda song? If you’re one of those who heard the song, then you might have an idea of what a cream soda is. The first recipe for cream soda was actually in the 1852 edition of the Michigan Farmer. It follows this recipe: water, cream of tartar, Epsom salts, sugar, tartaric acid, milk, and egg. Honestly, it’s not appetizing but they’re not actually made for drinking since they are used to stabilize syrups from turning crystals.
The start of drinkable cream sodas started in 1868 when a physician named Dr. Brown sold his line of sodas in Brooklyn, New York. The ingredients now include celery, black cherry, and ginger, which are said to have health benefits.
The vanilla flavor wasn’t really added to cream sodas back then since they’re considered a luxury spice. That is until the 1930s when the vanilla extract and the invention of synthetic vanillin spice were added to every cream soda — it has been an essential ingredient.

Featuring Sodas
Sodas may have been one of the many drinks to quench our thirst, but did you know that soda companies are getting creative when it comes to their soda mixtures? I guess they’re trying to play on the success of cream sodas in the market. Let’s check out new soda items from our favorite soda brands.
7UP Shirley Temple
Aside from their designed cans, 7UP’s new Shirley Temple will feature flavors of a unique blend of pomegranate and cherry. While 7UP has already released the two, this will be the first time that they’re combined to create a single drink. Check out your local grocery stores if the canned version is already available since, according to a trusted source, they should be releasing them by this time around.

Sprite + Tea
Have you seen the popular online trend of mixing iced tea with Sprite soda? It seems like Sprite has got an idea and decided to release them by spring 2025. This new beverage also comes in a zero-sugar, both in cans and bottles, as this was introduced during the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) 2024 event held in the Las Vegas Convention Center. Expect more information to be shared soon when Sprite goes public.

From The Club
My idea of cream soda is the vanilla soft serve ice cream served on top of my soda. It’s a pretty good cooler during warm days especially when the ice cream goes down. But to be honest, I’m not a fan of cream sodas or cherries, so I’m not really sure if I’m up for Pepsi’s Wild Cherry and Cream. Maybe a little sip wouldn’t hurt?
