Café Bustelo is finally making a big move after…96 years?! For the first time, they’re bringing their coffee to the refrigerator aisle. Their new Espresso Style Iced Coffee lineup comes in bottles shaped like a Greca, a classic Italian coffee maker that uses steam to brew espresso, paying homage to their traditional brewing methods.

They offer three flavors: sweetened, Unsweetened, and Vanilla. They are available at Kroger, Walmart, and select stores nationwide.

Popular Café Bustelo News That You Might Want To Know

In the last few years, Café Bustelo has been very popular for several reasons. A recent development that has drawn attention is its access to the cooled drinks sector. In early 2023, Café Bustelo announced the introduction of its new Espresso Style Iced Coffee range—a daring move given that this is a company known for sticking to norms as far as espresso preparation is concerned.

The new product line features three flavors: Sweetened, Unsweetened, and Vanilla, each housed in bottles reminiscent of the Greca, a traditional espresso maker. This design not only pays homage to the brand’s heritage but also offers a nod to consumers who appreciate a touch of nostalgia.

The availability of the products has also been a major subject of discussion. The sweetened and unsweetened versions were made available for sale in stores such as Kroger and Walmart, but the vanilla type was created only for the Target store franchise. This approach aims to appeal to a wider range of potential clients, thus increasing the number of Café Bustelo lovers.

A Cool New Way to Enjoy Café Bustelo

Café Bustelo’s move into the ready-to-drink coffee market is a big deal. This category has exploded recently, with people looking for convenient and refreshing ways to enjoy their caffeine fix. One way Café Bustelo attracts fresh customers is by having bottled iced coffee which is quite different in terms of design, not the usual that we see in other iced coffee in bottles.

This unique packaging really catches the attention of consumers on supermarket shelves, as the company pays tribute to its origins by designing the bottle as a Greca—an Italian stove-top coffee maker.

Café Bustelo’s Marketing and Distribution Strategy

Placing products in widely visited stores like Kroger and Walmart guarantees visibility and accessibility. However, it’s not just about being seen—it’s about aligning the brand with retailers that consumers trust for quality products. As a result, this collaborative approach is likely to impact the buyer’s decision-making process by motivating loyal customers to buy new iced coffee when they purchase their regular beverages.

The rollout of items or products in phases builds anticipation and interest among Café Bustelo brand supporters, creating a buzz that attracts individuals who are relatively new to the brand.

As the refrigerated coffee category grows, other flavors and limited-edition releases could be forthcoming. Café Bustelo might consider creating seasonal drinks or partnering with other companies to improve its selection of drinks. Because plant-based products are increasingly popular and some people can’t have dairy due to allergies, Café Bustelo might want to consider new products that meet the needs of different diets and allow customers to save time in the process.

From The Club

Café Bustelo is known for its iced coffee espresso that truly offers unique flavors. After almost one century, the popular iced espresso will be available at retail stores! There are three flavors available: Sweetened, Unsweetened, and Vanilla. I personally like the Vanilla flavor, though. One thing that caught my attention was the unique, square-style packaging, which is not something I normally see in other drinks or coffee bottles. Hopefully, this espresso will be available at larger stores in the country.
