Calling all Butterfinger fans, there’s a new flavor waiting for you!
Long time no see! It’s been a while (years, actually) since Butterfinger innovated a new flavor for their chocolate bar. Sure, there may be different Butterfinger variants, such as the mini and fun sizes, but if you think about it, they’re just sizes, and they have nothing new to serve to the table. Thank goodness for Butterfinger-themed treats like cookies and ice cream, which allow us to taste our favorite chocolate in another flavor.
Butterfinger is launching a new flavor after ten years! Fans may be satisfied with the classic Butterfinger bar, which features a crispy peanut bar wrapped in milk chocolate. But now, they’re adding a twist of new flavor for an upgrade.
Introducing the Salted Caramel Butterfinger that’s dropping at stores soon. It may have the same filling as the classic Butterfinger but with an added salted caramel flavoring. That’s just a guess, as no other available information is shared with the public. But given the spread of this information among food bloggers, they might be hitting the grocery and convenience store shelves soon! We can also expect more information to be unveiled after the upcoming National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) convention in Las Vegas later this month.

Butterfinger Products That You Didn’t Know Existed
Butterfinger is that iconic snack that you haven’t had for a while now. Wondering why? In case you didn’t know, Nestlé, the parent company of Butterfinger, had sold it to Italian chocolatier Ferrero back in January 2018. Shocking news, right? Nope, you’re not having one of those Mandela effect moments where you thought a small Nestlé text was printed on top of the Butterfinger text.
Since a different company acquired Butterfinger, Ferrero changed its recipe, stating that it has an “improved recipe.” The company decided to make use of larger runner peanuts as the chocolate bar’s core. They used a higher percentage of cocoa and milk for its coating, and they cut out on ingredients such as preservative TBHQ and hydrogenated oils. Did you taste the difference? Many fans did, as seen on different social media channels.
While Ferrero may have changed it for the better, they’re still experimenting with different flavors and variants to add to this peanut chocolate bar. Until then, we will keep on waiting! Let’s check out some of the Butterfinger variants that we missed back when they were under Nestlé.
Butterfinger Milk Chocolate Solid Bunny
Who here remembers the Butterfinger Easter Bunny? This chocolate treat weighed an impressive 6+ ounces, which is pretty heavy for a chocolate. Biting into the bunny reveals that it was made out of milk chocolate with small chunks of Butterfinger pieces. Another Easter variant is the Butterfinger Creme Egg, which features a milk chocolate shell with the usual filling of crunch peanuts inside.

Butterfinger Popcorn
Popcorn and chocolate go well together while watching a good movie, but with Butterfinger’s Popcorn, you can get the best of both worlds. You can get the crunchy peanut butter taste of Butterfinger in every bite of this popcorn. No wonder why we miss this snack!

Utz Mini Pretzels with Butterfinger Candy Pieces
Imagine biting on some mini pretzel pieces. Heaven, right? What more when you coat it with Butterfinger? Now, that’s a different kind of story! The surprise with this treat is that you’ll never know if it’s peanut butter or chocolate coating with each piece that you pick.

From The Club
I hadn’t really had much of Butterfinger in my lifetime, as I actually prefer Reese’s over it, but I remembered my mom loving them! It’s surprising and mind-blowing to learn that Ferrero actually acquired them in 2018. I’m looking forward to that new and improved taste. Hopefully, I’ll appreciate Butterfinger more than I last had them.
