Doritos has just revealed the new mystery flavor they’ve been teasing and it just might be one of their biggest releases yet.
We all know how Doritos loves to come up with fun marketing stunts and promotional material just to generate buzz and hype for their new products. It’s always been this way and it’s one of the reasons why Doritos stays on top. I mean, who could resist a good old fashioned mystery, right? So with the release of their new flavor, Doritos decided to play a little game and promote it initially as a mystery flavor. When they did reveal it though, it was something we did not expect.

Doritos has just revealed their new mystery flavor. The mystery flavor is Thai Red Curry. This was actually part of a recent taste-test conducted by Doritos themselves. Thai Red Curry is known for its combination of savory, sweet, and spicy elements creating a complex flavor profile. Now imagine all that packed inside a single Doritos chip. It looks like they’ve went way above their ability to innovate flavor engineering. They managed to infuse traditional Thai spices into their iconic corn chip. From the looks of it, this is gonna be a sensory experience that goes beyond your typical snacks.
Doritos announced that they’ll be releasing this new spicy and aromatic flavor this fall. So are you ready for the new Doritos Flamin’ Hot Thai Red Curry?
Recent Doritos News
In the last couple of years, Doritos has found themselves in the spotlight for several key announcements that proved their reputation as a trendsetter in the industry.
One of the major highlights was the unveiling of the Doritos 3D Crunch. Back in 2020, they reintroduced this classic snack from the 90s but with a modern twist. It’s both nostalgic and innovative at the same time which, as we all know, is a recipe for success. It generated a lot of buzz in social media platforms and actually lead to a high demand for the product.

In 2021, Doritos debuted its Solid Black program, aiming to celebrate and promote Black joy and culture. This campaign not only highlighted Doritos’ commitment to social justice but also provided a platform for Black creators to share their stories and art.
Doritos didn’t just stop with new products and new programs, they also managed to create new flavors. In terms of flavor experimentation, Doritos caused a stir with its mystery flavor contest earlier this year. Fans were given clues and tasked with guessing the unidentified flavor, which turned out to be Thai Red Curry. The mystery flavor contest generated significant engagement as fans took to social media to share their guesses and reactions.

Thai Red Curry: What to Expect?
Doritos new Thai Red Curry flavor is their response to the recent trend of consumers wanting a more diverse set of flavors in their food. It’s made with a unique blend of spices and ingredients that were directly inspired by authentic Thai Red Curry. Ingredients used include real curry paste, coconut milk powder, and their own blend of sweet, salty, sour, and spicy flavors. Their creation really does capture the rich curry tastes and savory spices of Thailand. It’s also perfect for anyone who enjoys a bit of heat with their snacks.
This whole experience just proves how Doritos is willing to experiment and innovate. After all, they’ve been creating some of the most iconic corn chip flavors of all time. Some of them we didn’t even think would belong on chips. That said, this is a good move from Doritos and it’s something that reflects their ambition to meet the changing tastes of their funs plus following global food trends.
From The Club
I never would’ve guessed the new mystery flavor that Doritos came up with for two reasons. First, most chips tend to taste the same once you’ve eaten enough of them. And second, I never got to partake in the taste-test challenge. That aside, the new Doritos Flamin’ Hot Thai Red Curry looks interesting. I love spicy food and if this is as good as any of their other Flamin’ Hot products, then it’s probably going to be a hit.
