Over the course of history, there’s been tons of unique Doritos flavors that we just couldn’t get enough of. Sometimes, they’re unceremoniously taken off the shelf only to return later as a limited-time flavor. This is exactly what’s happening as Doritos brings back a fan-favorite!
Doritos Hot Mustard is back and has been spotted at Speedway! Doritos came out with the Hot Mustard flavor years ago along with the Tangy Ketchup flavor. Although, there’s no word yet if the ketchup flavor would return, we’re still holding out hope that it will soon. It’s not clear yet if these flavors are exclusive to certain stores like Speedway but there is definitely a lot of excitement about these returning favorites.

Fans are letting everyone know online about their reactions. Most people are absolutely thrilled at the return of the Hot Mustard Doritos. Other people expressed hope that both the hot mustard and other flavors like guacamole wouldn’t be a store exclusive. They expressed their disappointment when limited-availability kept them from enjoying these snacks.
As for the Tangy Ketchup Doritos, there’s definitely talk of anticipation with a hint of skepticism. Some are eagerly awaiting for the return, but some are saying that Doritos may come out with a different flavor instead. It’s still up in the air whether or not the Tangy Ketchup returns.
With that said, it looks like we’re getting the Doritos Hot Mustard this summer! So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the nearest grocery and give the Doritos Hot Mustard a try before it’s gone.
A Legacy of Flavor
Doritos has long been a staple in American snack culture. It’s signature crunch and bold flavors made them the iconic snack that they are today. It was first launched by Frito-Lay back in 1966 and it didn’t take long for it to revolutionize the industry. It all started with a simple idea: to create a new type of tortilla chip that would be great for dipping but could also stand alone with its flavor. Thus, the Doritos we know today were born. During its launch, it could only be had in its Toasted Corn flavor.
Fast forward to a year later in 1967 when Doritos finally started to hit its stride with the release of the Nacho Cheese flavor. This forever changed the snack game and cemented Doritos’ status as the best ever brand of tortilla chips. Since then, they’ve continued to innovate the industry by coming out with creative and sometimes daring flavors; pushing the boundaries of what a chip can be.
Best Doritos Flavors
Doritos has came out with tons of different flavors over the years. In fact, there are over 199 flavors you can enjoy your Doritos in! That’s just a rough estimate but there could be more if you count regional and seasonal variants. But out of all of these, which exactly stand tall among the rest? Which flavors do fans think are the best and greatest of all time? There are actually 2 that come to mind.

Cool Ranch
Easily one of the most iconic Doritos flavors in history. Cool Ranch is one of the most popular Doritos flavors that blend tangy and savory seasonings, including garlic, onion, and buttermilk. It has that slight hint of creaminess that really brings everything together. The Cool Ranch flavor also set the stage for other ranch flavored snacks to come out.

Spicy Sweet Chili
A lot of fans will agree that this is considered the best Doritos flavor of all time. Why, you may ask? The Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos has a ton of flavors packed into a single chip. It’s like tasting an entire meal in one bite. It’s spicy but not too spicy and it’s sweet but not too sweet. In short, this is the perfect Doritos flavor and can be best described in three words: it’s just right.
From The Club
The return of the Doritos Hot Mustard has been a long time coming. Fans have been clamoring for its return ever since it was taken off shelves last year. This, along with the Tangy Ketchup flavor, are some of the best flavors Doritos has come up with in recent memory. I’m definitely going to head over to Speedway and grab myself a few bags before these run out again.
